HAYIL's sire, DAYJUR, took honours as "European Horse of the Year, Champion Three-Year-Old Colt and Champion Sprinter", with victories in the Keeneland Nunthorpe Stakes G1, Ladbroke Sprint G1 and Prix de l'Abbaye de Longchamp G1. A son of DANZIG, DAYJUR is out of Champion Sprinter GOLD BEAUTY, herself a daughter of MR PROSPECTOR.
DAYJUR earned a Timeform rating of 137 --- that of a superstar.
DAYJUR has followed up by siring a long list of winners and has been credited with stakes earners in America, England, France, Italy, Japan and the United Arab Emirates. To date he has had winners of over 400 races and $US15 million. In general he has been one of the best sources of DANZIG speed, a trait that his son HAYIL will have every opportunity to transmit on at Lyndhurst.

FUTUH, the dam of HAYIL was a top class galloper who set a new juvenile track record in scoring an all the way win over 6 furlongs (1200 metres) in England. She is the dam of three stakes horses HAYIL, TAMHID and ELNAHAR as well as being a half sister to quality race filly ROSE PARK.
HAYIL's grandam is the Group 1 placegetter HARDSHIP who is a daughter of the great SIR GAYLORD stallion DRONE.
HAYIL traces to MARCHETTA, ancestress to countless world renowned stallions the calibre of TURN TO, MY BABU, AMBIORAX, KLARION, ALYCIDON, ACROPOLIS, BUSTINO and IRISH RIVER.
